Hong Kong, the city of drama, charm and beauty…

Living in Bangkok for over 11 years, Hong Kong has always been my favorite close destination to go to.

We visit Hong Kong every 2-3 months, and with each return visit comes some changes: old businesses go, new businesses come, construction alters the landscape.

I learned Hong Kong on my own way just walking around for hours, taking the metro and stopping wherever I felt like. I knew I can not get lost, an MTR sign will pop up somewhere sooner or later.

Since my son was born we can only do a little wandering in the city, which must ends at our favorite place, The Victoria Park.

Victoria Park is the destination for mothers with young children.

The park has so much to offer, a large grass field where you can just lay down and look up to the sky edged by skyscrapers, or play and run around.

It is also always fun to watch some older men racing with their remote control boats at the little fountain pool.

The park also have a lots of playgrounds with so many children playing.

Located on the doorstep of the beautiful Victoria Park our favorite destination for dinner is the Tin Hau area. This laid-back neighbourhood is away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Tin Hau’s Electric Road and its surrounding streets are littered with fashion boutiques, beauty salons, bars and restaurants of every cuisine imaginable.

When in Hong Kong, I also love to look at all the goods from shoes to jewellry to beauty products. As the biggest shopping mall on Hong Kong Island, Times Square in the Causeway bay area stocks pretty much everything all under one roof. A total of 16 floors of shops selling a vast array designer labels. My absolute favorite beauty product is my home city the Budapest-based brand Omorovicza, I am very happy to find them in Joyce Beauty at Time Square.

On our trips I never miss Canton road which is well known for its luxury stores.

It is famous among the Chinese mainland people, on the Weekends you will see them in long line ups in front of the luxury boutiques.

On Canton road I love to look at the newest models of the top brands of jewelries as heading to the Heritage, such as

Piage, Tiffany, Van Cleef & Arpels, Emperor, Cartier.

I love to get some inspiration of the street style fashion in Hong Kong. You will see make up, jewelry, high boots with short skirts being worn like nowhere else. Women and men have their braveness to dress very stylish that you would only see on runways.
